About Me
I am a staff research engineer with Pixart Taiwan. I received the M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering (Signal Processing) from National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan in 2016, under the supervision of Prof. Chi-Chun (Jeremy) Lee. I am interesting in signal processing, computer vision, and intelligent systems.
The following research was carried out during my free-time. Thus, the following research achievements do not reflect opinions, findings, or conclusions of any company.
Research Fields
My research interests are generally in the areas of behavioral signal processing (e.g., body gestures, facial expressions, physiology, and speech), wearable/wireless healthcare, and intelligent systems for smart city (e.g., low-power AI surveillance, object detecting/tracking, and healthcare).
Behavioral signal processing (BSP)is a new signal processing and data analysis technique, which is to mathematically model human behaviors with observational data, i.e., use computational methods grounded in statistics, signal processing, and machine learning to provide quantitative evidence that characterizes and tracks human internal states. The tangible outcome of BSP, i.e., behavioral analytics, offers new quantitative methods for enhancing the capabilities of domain experts in facilitating better decision making.
